Adopt A Kennel Sponsorship Program

By Sponsoring a Kennel, you help provide vital support for unwanted, neglected or abused dogs who are temporarily housed at our shelter. Your sponsorship can help the dog in many ways. For example, depending on the dog you are sponsoring, obedience training may be the only thing that your “sponsored” dog needs to be adopted. Your donation will pay for the dog to go to obedience classes so the dog can be socialized and learn important obedience behaviour needed to place this dog into a permanent home. This is a wonderful opportunity for corporations, businesses, families and individuals to make a gift that will be recognized on an ongoing basis.

When you become a sponsor, a personalized plaque is placed in our dog adoption area for the duration of your sponsorship, which can be 6 months or 1 year. Plaques can be personalized in your name, in your company's name, or in memory of a beloved family member, friend or cherished pet.

Your plaque will be seen by hundreds of people who visit the shelter each year and you will also be recognized on our website and in our newsletter. In addition, you will receive a picture and a story about a dog who is currently up for adoption at the Northumberland Humane Society. You will be kept up to date on the dog's progress, and when the dog is adopted, you will be notified! Your sponsorship gift is also tax-deductible! Adopt a Kennel today!!
