Oliver

Oliver is a 10 year old neutered male beagle and is slightly overweight at 53lbs. He is very playful for his age, and enjoys outdoor adventures playing with toys or going on walks. After a long day of playing Oliver will hit the sack around 9:00pm and snore until he hears his owner get up in the morning. Oliver is good left alone and will hug you (or try to) on your return. Unfortunately Oliver was originally surrendered when his owner died. Then he was brought back from a foster home when he was showing signs of aggression towards men, and cats. Oliver would be best in a one person home with no other pets. We will accept appropriate foster applications on him as well. Oliver has been at the NHS since March 2009.

MOLSON - ADOPTED!

We believe Molson to be from Wookiee Planet C. He is giant at a whopping 150lbs, so don't let his pictures deceive you into thinking he's average-sized! Molson is about 4 years old and came to us from another shelter. He is good with some other dogs, likes cats, and LOVES to play ball. He would be excellent for a home that is anti-squeaky-toy, as he does not seem to like them! He knows quite a few tricks and is eager to please. Observe on the left, the wookie face, wookie playing by himself with a ball, and wookie standing. Also observe the wookie beside a person - notice that their legs are approximately the same size. This. boy. is. big.

We at the NHS believe Molson to be a rottweiler crossed with either Irish Wolfhound or Bouvier, but of course we are not 100% sure. The shelter he was previously at had him listed as rottweiler/komondor. Regardless, Molson is a sweet boy who deserves a loving home where every inch of him will be adored 24/7. Oh, and yes - he does shed like a normal dog. And needs a bath. Badly. We'll take care of that.
