Morris the Shelter Cat

Morris was the most entertaining shelter cat that we have ever met. He had so much character that he could in fact even make recognizable expressions on his face (disdain being one of his favourites).

When he was in desperate need to get the food you were eating for lunch, his eyes would become so wide and round that they looked like marbles that would, at any moment, pop out of his head and roll away.

His purr could easily compete with any riding lawn mower, and his absolute disgust for being kicked out of the office chair was so obvious that if he could have spoken even one word, it would have been one you probably didn’t want to hear.

We are sad to say that Morris passed on in early November, 2007 due to liver complications. He will be missed by all shelter staff, volunteers, and animals alike.
