DEGUS We have 3 male degus at the shelter at this time. Degus are daturnal critters and enjoy exercise and movement during the day, and are nice and quiet in the evenings. These Degus enjoy being held and are voracious eaters! Please call the Northumberland Humane Society if you are interested in adopting Degus and would like some more information! |
THUMPER - ADOPTED! Thumper is a male Rex bunny who was found in a person’s garage in Port Hope. The staff suspect that Thumper’s owner let him go thinking that he could make it on his own, but in reality domestic bunnies do not do well out in the wild and most will end up as a predator’s meal. Thumper likes his ears to be scratched, but is not fond of being picked up. He does like to give kisses though, but would probably be best in a home with older children. Thumper has been at the NHS since October 1, 2007. |
